6.16.20 Update

Hello lovely subscribers!

First, let me beg for your forgiveness, I know the suspense is killing you.

This isn’t my typical blog posting. I wanted to provide a quick update. Due to a prior commitment, the first postings that will be shared will be of the mayors buried in the Old Arlington Cemetery.

The upcoming postings will include: W.C. Weeks, Arlington Mayor 1900-1902; Edward Emmett Rankin, Mayor 1885; George W. Finger, Mayor 1886-1889; M.J. Brinson, Mayor 1881-1884, 1889-1891; Dr. William Harold Davis, Mayor 1909-1910; T.G. Bailey, Mayor 1904-1906; Thomas B. Collins, Mayor 1902-1904; William H. Rose, Mayor 1919-1923; William Green Hiett, Mayor 1923-1925, 1927-1931; and Harold Patterson, Mayor 1983-1987.

Upon the completion of the mayors, the luck of the draw will begin and I will return to the everyday individuals interred in the Old Arlington Cemetery. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the stories of Dr. Valin Ridge Woodward and Preston Furman McKee.

Thanks for all the love, support, and patience.
